Quip Insights was founded in 2021 by Kathleen Marker, Ph.D. As a Sociologist, Kathleen has a strong understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methodology. She has 20 years of experience working as a qualitative moderator conducting focus groups, IDIs, ethnographies, and online qualitative discussion boards. She understands what data are necessary to uncover consumer motivations and how insights can be used to inform strategies that will have a meaningful impact on brands and organizations.
Kathleen developed her research skills working at UC Berkeley’s Center for Ethnographic Research conducting qualitative research for academic projects. Currently, she serves as a part-time faculty member in Applied Psychology at the University of Southern California.
